Five video shots




 1. This shot is an over the shoulder shot. What I was trying to achieve was for it to seem like the characters are keeping a secret from the audience. This creates a suspense for the audience because only the character whose back is not facing the camera knows what is being said. 




2. For the second shot we have a POV (Point Of View) shot. What I was trying to achieve with this shot was for the audience to see exactly what the character is seeing so they can feel put in their shoes. This creates a new perspective for the audience to shine light.





3. This third shot is a Full shot, What this does is it allows the audience to see the character in its surroundings which can give them information on what's to happen. The full shot can add tension & build on the story's atmosphere.



4. For this next shot we have an insert shot. What was trying to be achieved was for the audience to gain a full understanding of what is taking place. An insert shot emphasizes something that the audience maybe missed or it can create different aspects of that scene. 


5. This last shot is a Low angle shot. What I was trying to achieve with this shot was for the audience to feel the character looking down was powerful. Low angle shots allow a character to seem intimidating to the audience and/or another character in the scene.

Group member and brainstorm project

For my project i decided to work in a group of 4. In the group it is Audrianna, Ja’naii, Kennise, and myself. The reason I chose to work in a group is because we can create more ideas and split the project into differ ent ways which can help us get the work in and done.We do try to work together on majority of the projects in media studies when allowed. Some of the ideas we have come up with are something scary but something that also has to do with romance. We have different tastes in our types of movies so it is very interesting when we are brainstorming together.

Movie opener brainstorm and research

 1. The observations we made for the first clip was that many different camera shots and angles were used to show the boy’s actions. We also observed the use of diegetic sound as the music that was playing in his headphones was the same music we could hear. And finally we observed the change of setting which showed the change of time in the day.  2. The observations we made for the second clip were that voiceover was used which provided a quick exposition to the audience. We also observed that towards the end of the clip, the two main shots used in the clip were over the shoulder and two shot which showed the interactions between the two characters. 3.The observations we made for the third clip were that there was use of non diegetic sound which associated with being in a party type of mood while they were competing a dare.
