Media Blog

 Hi my name is Chrisleah Athouriste I am a freshman at Flanagan High school. I was born February 21st in 2010. I have one brother who is a year younger than me who attends Franklin Academy Cooper City. I attended Franklin from kindergarten to 8th grade. I live in a household with two parents. My mother who is a nurse at Joe DiMaggio Children’s hospital and my dad who is a truck driver who drives across the United States. I play two sports Basketball and Flag Football. I could never seem to choose just one due to the fact that I enjoy myself playing both. I am not a huge fan of presenting due to me being shy but i hope this year I’ll open up a little more. 



I initially did not pick this class due to me not knowing what it was about or what would take place. After taking the class for the past few days i am pleased to say im glad they placed me in. Learning all about media is something that i never knew would be interesting to me. I also enjoy having Ms.Tienjaroonkul as my teacher for this class. I hope that after this year I will be able to gain a full understanding of everything with media and I am very excited for projects because I love editing. I can’t wait to see what this school year holds!

Group member and brainstorm project

For my project i decided to work in a group of 4. In the group it is Audrianna, Ja’naii, Kennise, and myself. The reason I chose to work in a group is because we can create more ideas and split the project into differ ent ways which can help us get the work in and done.We do try to work together on majority of the projects in media studies when allowed. Some of the ideas we have come up with are something scary but something that also has to do with romance. We have different tastes in our types of movies so it is very interesting when we are brainstorming together.

Movie opener brainstorm and research

 1. The observations we made for the first clip was that many different camera shots and angles were used to show the boy’s actions. We also observed the use of diegetic sound as the music that was playing in his headphones was the same music we could hear. And finally we observed the change of setting which showed the change of time in the day.  2. The observations we made for the second clip were that voiceover was used which provided a quick exposition to the audience. We also observed that towards the end of the clip, the two main shots used in the clip were over the shoulder and two shot which showed the interactions between the two characters. 3.The observations we made for the third clip were that there was use of non diegetic sound which associated with being in a party type of mood while they were competing a dare.
