The different elements of genres in inside out 2 are Comedy, Drama, Adventure, Family Film,& Animation. This film does contain the genre of hybridity in the sense of the different emotions coming together into one (Riley). The film inside out 2 received very positive reviews from critics and had gained a gross of $1.698 billion worldwide. Inside out 2 became the highest grossing animated film and the highest grossing film of 2024. The hybridity used brought different ages and genders to want to watch the film. This film contains the process of puberty while showing the emotions and thoughts of a teen girl. Them bringing the different emotions together and even introducing new ones attracted different audiences by it being an interesting occurrence of events.


The premise of the plot is on the cusp of Riley beginning high school , her world is about to change from the inside out. The main themes of inside out 2 is the sense of self and inner emotion conflict. The narrative is structured as the film telling the story of Riley’s emotions. The narrative is built around conflict in the sense of Riley’s emotions emerge and challenge for control of her mind and actions with both sides feeling like the better option.

In the film inside out the limiting factor is the new group of emotions trying to take over what the original emotions had going on. This included them being put  out and causing them to go through challenges of getting back in. While this was occurring the new emotions had control of Riley and were doing a horrible job. Every character fitted the mound of their emotion for they were all different and played their part. 
The character that signified the change in society was Riley as we got to experience her growing up and the changed she went through.

Group member and brainstorm project

For my project i decided to work in a group of 4. In the group it is Audrianna, Ja’naii, Kennise, and myself. The reason I chose to work in a group is because we can create more ideas and split the project into differ ent ways which can help us get the work in and done.We do try to work together on majority of the projects in media studies when allowed. Some of the ideas we have come up with are something scary but something that also has to do with romance. We have different tastes in our types of movies so it is very interesting when we are brainstorming together.

Movie opener brainstorm and research

 1. The observations we made for the first clip was that many different camera shots and angles were used to show the boy’s actions. We also observed the use of diegetic sound as the music that was playing in his headphones was the same music we could hear. And finally we observed the change of setting which showed the change of time in the day.  2. The observations we made for the second clip were that voiceover was used which provided a quick exposition to the audience. We also observed that towards the end of the clip, the two main shots used in the clip were over the shoulder and two shot which showed the interactions between the two characters. 3.The observations we made for the third clip were that there was use of non diegetic sound which associated with being in a party type of mood while they were competing a dare.
