Preparing to film blog post

 ACTORS:

The people that will get to be in our film is all of the individuals in my group and an additional male figure to play the part of  Ethan.

COSTUMES:

The costumes will be able to represent different time periods and locations due to their being different times and places for certain clothing. Currently we are working on gathering the costumes for our film but we are certainly making progress .Parts definitely need to be purchased for their is a plot twist in the story that requires certain items.

PROPS:

The props that are needed for filming are coffee cups, fake blood, red eye contacts, and a prop knife. These props need to be purchased.

LOCATIONS:

We as a group have thought of our locations and gathered them together but we are currently working on getting an approval to record at all of the designated locations. So far we do not have the answer to if any locations need to be changed because we are still in the process of asking if they would be approved.

DATES AND TIMES:

we plan  on  filming as soon as possible

We are currently trying to schedule a schedule with each other that will not disrupt our  parents to much. We are currently trying to compare schedules and make time to film, The lighting we will be using is natural sunlight and we can take a break and come back when its dark outside to help with the horror theme.

FILM EQUIPMENT:

The equipment that we will be using is our cell phones to record and at night we can bring a light so that its no too dark. We will also be using thriller props. WE will obtain these equipments by getting  them from the store

Group member and brainstorm project

For my project i decided to work in a group of 4. In the group it is Audrianna, Ja’naii, Kennise, and myself. The reason I chose to work in a group is because we can create more ideas and split the project into differ ent ways which can help us get the work in and done.We do try to work together on majority of the projects in media studies when allowed. Some of the ideas we have come up with are something scary but something that also has to do with romance. Movie opener brainstorm and research

 1. The observations we made for the first clip was that many different camera shots and angles were used to show the boy’s actions. We also observed the use of diegetic sound as the music that was playing in his headphones was the same music we could hear. And finally we observed the change of setting which showed the change of time in the day.  2. The observations we made for the second clip were that voiceover was used which provided a quick exposition to the audience. We also observed that towards the end of the clip, the two main shots used in the clip were over the shoulder and two shot which showed the interactions between the two characters. 3.The observations we made for the third clip were that there was use of non diegetic sound which associated with being in a party type of mood while they were competing a dare.
