Color use blog post

Color plays a crucial role in setting the tone and enhancing the emotional impact of the story. In this script the transition from a warm, inviting atmosphere to an eerie, supernatural horror is greatly reflected through shifts in color within the setting, background, costuming, and props. At the beginning the setting is bathed in the warm glow of the sunset. As the scene progresses the transition from golden hues to cooler, darker shades mirrors the shift in tone. As the scene progresses more the unstable flickering lights represents a shift in reality, what was once stable is now unpredictable. As the park grows eerily still the once warm setting becomes cold and ominous. Ethan eventually develops blackened eyes as key visual markers of his transformation.
